A Pilot Study for The development of Therapy Self-help Therapy Based on Cognitive-Behavioral for Depression Episode in Bipolar Disorder: For High Risk Group with Bipolar Spectrum Disorder

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of self-help therapy for High Risk Group with Bipolar Spectrum Disorder about depression level and quality of life(quality of sleep, stress level, interpersonal relationship functioning, rational decision making). Self-help therapy based on cognitive-behavior therapy utilizing workbook is to improve the depression level and quality of life of High Risk Group with Mild Depression Symptom. Futhermore, it can prevent the onset of bipolar disorder. The program was composed of 16 sessions, they carried out twice a week and 30-40 minutes per session over 2 months. Participants were recruited through the posters at university homepage and SNS. Among them, 23 people were selected by evaluating BSDS(7 points or more), CES-D(16 points or more), MINI(excluding bipolar disorder). They were assigned to a experimental group or a control group. The result revealed that the depression level of experimental group was significantly improved, and quality of life was partially refined.
